Business First is not only dedicated to assisting current women in business achieve success; we are also actively seeking to assist future business women of Acadiana. Business First has awarded a full time female student with a scholarship of $500.00 since 2007 when our organization commenced.

Events Committee
Our Events Committee serves a multitude of tasks, and some are super fun! From organizing our monthly meetings, securing the establishment where meetings are held, hosting community events and workshops, and even assisting the Membership Committee with their membership drives, our Events Committee stays busy!

Membership Committee
Our Membership Committee oversees all membership prospects and ensure the current members follow the guidelines stipulated within the bi-laws such as attendance, etc. The Membership Committee is in charge of membership drives and interviewing prospective members and welcoming new members.

As in government, committees play an important role in our organization. Our committees are dedicated to the coordination and administration aspects of their role while formulating and implementing ideas relevant to their function. Business First currently has a Membership Committee, an Events Committee, and a Treasure Committee. We appreciate these ladies who devote their time and energy to ensure Business First is structured and follows our Bi-laws and guidelines.
